Iran declares activity of Anzali port in Gilan Province

A total of 100,000 tons of cargo was loaded and unloaded in the Anzali port of the Gilan Province (northern Iran) in the 5th month of the current Iranian year (July 22-August 21, 2020), Trend reports citing Ports and Maritime Organization of Iran (PMO).

According to the statistics, 13,400 tons of goods were loaded and 86,800 tons were unloaded at the port in the 5th month.

As many as 13,100 tons of goods were exported and 86,500 tons of goods were imported through this port during the same month.

“More than 221 tons of goods were loaded and 2 tons were unloaded for transit via the Anzali port over the 5th month,” the statistics said.

About 306 tons of goods were unloaded for other purposes in the Anzali port within the reporting period, the statistics added.

According to the statistics, about 55,900 tons of essential products, 1,090 tons of metal products, 5,480 tons of construction materials and mining materials, 345 tons of equipment, vehicles and spare parts, 2,640 tons of chemicals were loaded and unloaded at the Anzali port in the 5th month.

In addition, 31,600 tons of leather, clothing, fiber, wood and other similar goods, 218 tons of other goods, 2,810 tons of container products and 61 tons of oil products were loaded and unloaded.

In total, 5.93 million tons of goods were loaded and 4.08 million tons were unloaded through Iranian ports in the 5th month.
