Buy/sell operations at Iran Mercantile Exchange made public

More than 543,500 tons of goods worth more than 53 trillion rials (about $1.26 billion) were sold at the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) in the last Iranian week (October 3-October 7), Trend reports citing the IME’s official website.

According to the report, however, about 980,000 tons of goods worth more than 94 trillion rials (about $2.28 billion) were sold at the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) in the preceding Iranian week (September 26-October 1).

“A total of 195,262 tons of goods worth 23.8 trillion rials (about $566 million) were sold in the industrial and mining products section of IME,” the report said.

Moreover 187,300 tons of steel, 5,520 tons of aluminum, 70 tons of copper, 12 tons of precious metal concentrate, 120 tons of molybdenum sulfur, 660 tons of zinc ingots, and 40 tons of lead were sold in this section.

“At the same time, 346,891 tons of various oil and petrochemical products worth 29.9 trillion rials (about $711 million) were sold in the oil and petrochemical products section of IME in the last week,” the report said.

According to the report, 87,100 tons of vacuum bottom, 114,000 tons of bitumen, 73,000 tons of polymeric substances, 37,300 tons of chemicals, 23,000 tons of lube cut, 2,710 tons of moisture-resistant coatings, 2,220 tons of base oil, 300 tons of slaps wax, 150 tons of argon, 1,500 tons of coke, and 7,200 tons of sulfur were sold in this section.

Furthermore, 1,420 tons of various products were sold in the submarket section of the exchange.

“Also, 100 kilograms of saffron were sold in the agricultural products section of the Iran Mercantile Exchange,” the report note.
