The production of the Iran’s Azerbaijan Steel Company increased by 66 percent during the first six months of the current Iranian year (March 20-September 21, 2020) compared to the same period last Iranian year, Executive Director of the company Alireza Mahmoudi said, Trend reports citing Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).
The director emphasized that the company produced 182,000 tons of steel ingots over the reporting period.
Mahmoudi added that the sales of steel ingots also increased by 10 percent within 6 months.
“The plans are being implemented at the Iran’s Azerbaijan Steel Company to increase production in the current Iranian year (from March 20, 2020 to March 21, 2021),” he noted.
Iran's Azerbaijan Steel Company is located in the Mianeh County of East Azerbaijan Province (northwestern Iran). The company can produce 500,000 tons of steel products per year.
