EU countries decrease crude petroleum oil imports from Kazakhstan in Aug. 2020

Kazakhstan has exported 3.3 billion tons of crude petroleum oil and oil obtained from bituminous minerals worth 984.6 million euros to the European Union in August 2020, a Eurostat official told Trend.

In turn, Kazakhstan exported 25.8 billion tons of petroleum oil and oil obtained from bituminous minerals worth 7.9 billion euros to the European Union from Jan. through Aug. 2020.

Thus, the June volume of crude oil and oil obtained from bituminous minerals from Kazakhstan to the European Union is 17.4 percent less than in volume compared to July 2020 (4.06 billion tons) and is 9.5 percent less than in Jan. 2020 (3.7 billion tons).

August’s export value is also 16.7 percent less than in July 2020 (1.1 billion euros) and is 44.2 percent less than in Jan. 2020 (1.7 billion euros).

The value of trade turnover between Kazakhstan and the European Union amounted to $69.5 million over 1H2020, compared to $83.1 million during the same period of 2019.

The value of trade turnover between Kazakhstan and European countries amounted to $17.3 billion over the first eight months of 2020, compared to $22.5 billion during the same period of 2019.

Kazakhstan’s export to European countries amounted to $13.1 billion over the period from January through August 2020, compared to $17.9 billion during the same period of 2019

In turn, Kazakhstan’s imports from European countries amounted to nearly $4.1 billion over the reporting period, compared to $4.5 billion during the same period of 2019.
