The president also proposed to give the business ombudsman additional powers to protect entrepreneurs from the illegal actions of government agencies. In this regard, the president proposed to empower the business ombudsman to bring such leaders to administrative responsibility.

According to the information, starting from 2021, entrepreneurs in Uzbekistan will have the opportunity to obtain information on whether their business partners have tax arrears on the basis of the “Tax Assistant” principle.

In addition, benefits in tourism, transport, and public catering will be extended until the end of 2021. Mirziyoyev also proposed to extend the term for paying taxes on land and property for a total of $400 billion for another year. Some 20,000 entrepreneurs will be able to take advantage of this preference.

In addition, the number of advance payments for entrepreneurs for state purchases in the amount of up to 1 billion soums ($95.4) will increase to 30 percent of the transaction value, thus their working capital will increase by up to 1.5 trillion soums ($143 million).

In general, in order to continue work on financial support for entrepreneurship within the framework of programs to promote family entrepreneurship, six trillion soums ($573 million) of soft loans will be allocated next year. The government will allocate another $100 million to expand the Rural Entrepreneurship Development Program, which is being implemented in partnership with the World Bank.

Furthermore, it is planned to revise and reduce their number to about 5,000 normative legal acts regulating entrepreneurial activity, as well as develop an Entrepreneurial Code.
