Details of exports from Iran's Qom Province announced

A total of 125,000 tons of goods worth $148 million were exported from the Qom Province (northern Iran) in the last Iranian year (from March 20, 2020 through March 20, 2021), Director General of Qom Province Customs Office, Esfandiar Derikvandi said, Trend reports citing Iran Customs Administration (IRICA).

The director general stressed that the exported goods were mainly pellets, food products, footwear, lead ingots, copper products, rubber, chemicals and hydrocarbon products and etc.

“These goods were mainly exported to Iraq, Afghanistan, the UAE, India, Pakistan and Uzbekistan,” he added.

Derikvandi noted that moreover, 54,600 tons of goods worth about $271 million were imported to Iran's Qom Province in the last Iranian year.

According to him, the imported goods were mainly spare parts for motorcycle, acrylic fibers, spare parts for washing machine and combi boilers, healthcare products and cosmetics. These goods were mainly imported from China, India, Italy, the UAE, Turkey and Japan.

The official said that 81,000 tons of goods were transited from the customs of Qom Province to other Iranian customs last year.

“Qom Province's customs revenues in the last Iranian year amounted to 2.42 trillion rials (about $57.6 million),” Derikvandi said.
