Kazakhstan talks ongoing work to open CLAAS agricultural vehicles' assembly plant

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Apr.21

Trend:

Head of North Kazakhstan region Kumar Aksakalov spoke about the progress of the project to assemble agricultural vehicles of the world-famous CLAAS brand in the region, Trend reports referring to Kazinform.

Aksakalov emphasized that this project is important both for the region and for the country. With its launch, the region will receive highly profitable products for the assembly of agricultural machinery.

It’s expected that the cost of the assembled CLAAS combines and tractors and Horsch seed drills will be nearly 50 percent lower than the market value.

"Our farmers will be able to purchase the equipment at an affordable price and modernize their fleet. Now the building is being reconstructed into an enterprise for the assembly of agricultural equipment,” he wrote on his social network page. “Today, we inspected the progress of the joint project with the CLAAS company’s project coordinator Waldemar Prieb who has been here for a week now, coordinating the work of designers and builders. In June, all construction and repair work will be completed. Up to 100 permanent jobs will be created. Now the German company is engaged in the selection and training of specialists.”

The region’s head added that the company's factories are located in Germany, France, the US, China, Russia, Hungary, and Uzbekistan. The eighth plant will open in Kazakhstan, on the territory of the North Kazakhstan region.

“This is the result of long, but successful negotiations with German counterparts," stressed Aksakalov.
