Iran’s ISOICO declares amount of attracted funds

Iran Shipbuilding & Offshore Industries Complex Company (ISOICO) attracted $45 million in fields of shipbuilding, ship repair, oil and gas platform repair over last Iranian year (from March 20, 2020, through March 20, 2021), the Executive Director of the company, Hamid Rezaian Asl told IRNA, Trend reports.

According to him, the company repairs and manufactures various types of ships, oil and gas platforms.

The director added that the company implemented a total of 23 projects on design, manufacturing, and repairs during the last Iranian year. Each project brought Iran an average of $900,000 to $1 million worth of revenues.

Rezaian Asl noted that the company manufactured one fishing vessel, one waste collection vessel, and repaired one drilling rig in the last Iranian year. This prevented the outflow of about $90 million from the country.

“The Iran Shipbuilding & Offshore Industries Complex Company employs about 5,250 people,” he said.

As reported, the company repaired the “Iran-Shahre-Kord”, the “Hijaz 66, and the “Amitis” ships last Iranian year.

In addition, the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) instructed the company to repair three oil platforms last Iranian year. When these platforms are re-commissioned, they will produce 25 million barrels of crude oil daily.

The company started repairing the "Argo" ship in the current Iranian year (from March 21, 2021, through March 20, 2022).
