Iran Khodro Industrial Group will hold presentation of a new electric bus in the coming weeks, Executive Director of the Iran Khodro Company Farshad Moghimi said, Trend reports citing the company’s website.
According to Moghimi, some 65 percent of the spare parts for the bus have been manufactured domestically. As of next Iranian year (March 21, 2022), the bus will be mass-manufactured.
The director added that the manufacturing of such buses will help to eliminate environmental problems in large cities.
“At present, the country spends about 37,000 euros on the import of necessary spare parts for each bus. The figure will decrease to 33,000 euro by the end of the current Iranian year (March 20, 2022),” he said.
Meanwhile, previously, 58,000 euro was spent on the import of spare parts for the manufacturing of each bus, Moghimi noted.
