Iran’s IKCO eyes decrease in auto manufacturing

Iran Khodro Industrial Group’s various vehicle manufacturing decreased by 0.1 percent, during the first eight months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through November 21, 2021), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Trend reports via the statistics of the Iranian Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade.

According to the statistics, Iran Khodro has manufactured a total of 319,710 various vehicles within the mentioned period.

So, the company manufactured 316,115 passenger cars in 8 months, which is 0.1 percent more than in the same period last Iranian year.

In addition, Iran Khodro has manufactured 195 pickups over the reporting period. Pickup manufacturing decreased by 93.2 percent, compared to the same period last Iranian year.

“At the same time, the company manufactured 144 vans in eight months, which is an increase of 50 percent, compared to the same period last Iranian year,” the statistics said.

Over 8 months, Iran Khodro Company also manufactured 379 minibusses and buses, which is an increase of 271.6 percent, compared to the same period last Iranian year.

Meanwhile, the company's trucks and trailers manufacturing amounted to 2,877 units for the reporting period. This is 97.5 percent more than in the same period last Iranian year.

According to the statistics, Iran Khodro manufactured 44,185 various vehicles in the 8th month of the current Iranian year. This is 16.9 percent more than in the same month last Iranian year.

In total, 651,408 various vehicles were manufactured in Iran in the first 8 months of the current Iranian year. This is an increase of 4.7 percent, compared to the same period last Iranian year.
