BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 21. Kazakhstan has extracted 76.4 million tons of coal over the period from January through August 2022, which is 5.9 percent more than during the same period of 2021, Trend reports citing Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.

The report said that the volume of coal extracted in August 2022 stood at 10.06 million tons, which in turn is 9.4 percent more than in August 2021.

Furthermore, crude oil extraction including gas condensate was 56.09 million tons during the reporting period, which corresponds to the volume extracted during the same period of 2021. Kazakhstan’s August oil output was 6.1 million tons, which also is 1.9 percent less than during the same month of 2021.

Kazakhstan also extracted 36.6 billion cubic meters of natural gas during eight months of 2022 and 4.1 billion cubic meters in August, which is 2.8 percent more and 6.7 percent more year-on-year.

Fuel oil manufacturing volume stood at 2.03 million tons and 264,400 tons during the reporting period and August 2022 respectively, which is 19.9 percent and 75.5 percent more than during the same period of 2021.

Kerosene manufacturing amounted to 464,000 tons over eight months (up by 16.2 percent) and 54,000 tons in August 2022 (down by 18.2 percent), whereas gasoil manufacturing equaled 3.6 million tons over eight months (up by 8.5 percent) and 516,600 tons in August 2022 (up by 0.9 percent).

Hydrocarbon liquefied gases output was 777,800 tons over eight months of 2022 with an annual increase of 1.4 percent, whereas August output was 98,800 tons (down by 3.3 percent annual).

Electricity generation over the reporting period of 2022 equaled 74.6 billion kWh, which is 0.8 percent less than during the same period of 2021, whereas the volume of electricity generated in August 2022 amounted to 8.9 billion kWh, which is 1.7 percent more year-on-year.

The volume of thermal energy generated from January through August 2022 amounted to 54.8 million Gcal with an annual decrease of 1.3 percent, whereas August 2022 output was 2.8 million Gcal, which is 3.4 percent less than in August 2021.
