AZERBAIJAN CARRIED OUT EXPORT-IMPORT TRANSACTIONS IN AMOUNT OF $3.4BN OVER FIRST HALF-YEAR

Azerbaijan maintained trade relations with 124 countries of the world over first half-year. Foreign goods turnover reached $3.4 billion with $1.3 billion export and $2.1 billion import, Trend reports.

This index is 20,4% higher than 2004. Export growth comprised 0,2%, import вЂ" 37,9%.

A total of 29,9% export-import transactions fell to the European Union countries, 27,7% - the Commonwealth Independent States (CIS) countries, 42,4% - other countries.

A total of 54% goods turnover fell to Europe, 41,8% - Asia, 3,3% - United States, 0,8% - Africa, 0,1% - Oceania.

Over 80% of trade operations fell to Singapore, Russia, Italy, Turkey, the UK, Turkmenistan, France, Iran, Germany, China, Ukraine, Georgia, Croatia, Greece and the United States.
