NDC TO OPEN 3 BRANCHES IN REGIONS OF AZERBAIJAN IN 2006
The National Depositary Centre (NDC) of Azerbaijan starts forming the regional network. In 2006 it will open branches in Nakhchevan Autonomous Republic, Gyanja and Lankaran, NDC director Nidjat Mamedov reported.
"Opening of branches in Guba and Sheki is planned in 2007. Thus, during 2 years we will establish the regional network to cover the entire country according to the regional principleвЂќ, Mamedov said.
NDC was founded in 1997 with launching the cheque privatization. After setting up the State Committee on Securities NDC lost its monopoly on depositary activities.
