Vahid Akhundov, the state adviser of Azerbaijan on economic issues, regards 5.7% ratio in Azerbaijan as the top figure in January to February 2006. Akhundov told journalists on 17 March that rise in prices is usually of seasonal character and at present the government takes measures to prevent such splashes.
The government works intensively and I am sure we will achieve this yea the target of maintaining a digit-number inflation. Now relevant measures are underway and like in 2005, this year we will not allow rise in prices, the state adviser noted.
