24 Indian companies join India Show in Baku

An exhibition of Indian goods IndiaShow started at the Sports and Concert Palace named after Heydar Aliyev on Friday (24 March) with participation of 24 companies of India, Trend reports.

Addressing the ceremony the president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Azerbaijan Suleyman Tatliyev, noted the importance of such events in the development of relationships between Azerbaijan and India.

Such exhibitions enhance utilization of unused potential between India and Azerbaijan, he underlined.

India and Azerbaijan have much common and we hope the number of such exhibitions will further increase, the Indian Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Jiotti Swaroop Pande, stressed in his remarks

Major companies represent the spheres of textile, home furniture, pharmaceutics, foodstuff and jewelry art. The majority of companies are from Rajastan state of India.

Organized jointly by the Chamber of Trade and Industry, the governmental organization for facilitating trade and the Indian embassy in Baku the show will last by 28 March.

To date over 30 Indian companies are active in Azerbaijan, with majority involved in pharmaceutics.
