Russia is currently estimating the project of railroad communication among Azerbaijan, Russia and Iran within the borders of North-South transport corridor, Trend reports quoting Musa Panakhov, deputy Transport Minister of Azerbaijan.
Russian experts opine the Iranian section of the project (laying 300km long railroad) is overestimated. Final cost of the project will be known upon the completion of the review.
Due to the high significance of the project, the three countries established an international consortium to attract credits under it, in a view of the further repayment at cost of transportation tariffs.
