Azerbaijan will participate in the 34th session the European Commission on Agriculture on 7 June and the 25th regional conference of Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations on 8-9 June, the Agriculture Ministry told Trend the Deputy Agriculture Minister, Bahram Aliyev, will represent Azerbaijan in both events.
The FAO meeting in Riga will focus on the development of rural areas in line with the requirement of the World Food Summit, the state of the bird flu virus in Europe and CIS, regional cooperation, the development of the European market.
The meeting will also take reports on the activities of the organization for 2004-2005, the result of the previous gatherings.
