According to information provided by Statistical Committee of CIS, the volume of the cargo transportation (except pipelines) of CIS countries has increased in January-May of 2006 by 7% as compared to the same period of last year (in January-May of 2005 by 3,5%).
The growth of the cargo transportation in Azerbaijan was described at level of 111,1%, Trend reports. According to these indicators, Azerbaijan falls behind Georgia - 119,7%; Tajikistan 113,6%. After Azerbaijan, Belarus - 110,8% and Russia - 109,8% are observed.
The growth of cargo transportation was 102,9% in Ukraine within five months. And the growth of cargo transportation in January-May of 2006 was 105,9% in Kirgizistan and 105,1%. in Kazakhstan.
Grater volume of cargo transportation in January-May of the current year was noted in Russia - 827,2 mln tones; Kazakhstan 633 mln t.; Ukraine 238,5 mln t. And in Belarus and Azerbaijan 84,6 and 45,7 mln tones of cargo were transported. Tajikistan has transported 11,4 mln t. cargo, Georgia (information for January-March) 10,4 mln t.; Kirgizistan 6,4 mln t.; Moldova 4,7 mln t.
