Ata Holding is planning to expand the hotel business in the regions of Azerbaijan. The practice of applying hotel business may continue after gaining enough information in this sphere, generally in the sphere of tourism, Ahmad Erentok, the chairman of the Supervisory Board of Holding, told Trend. At the moment, Ata Akademiya engages in training staffs in this direction. According to Erentok, without the existence of professional staffs it will be unprofitable to develop hotel business.
The first investment in this sphere was put into Excelsior Hotel Baku. The investment put into this five-star hotel put into exploitation at the beginning of August of 2005 was in amount of $22.5m. According to business-plan, they will be recompensed within 8-10 years. Erentok stressed that the first two years always become hard, but 2006 was successful. For this year, 7.5 thousand guests arrived at the hotel.
The guests are satisfied with the high level of service and to support this we are not going to reduce the prices. The highest price for one-day stay in Excelsior Hotel Baku is $2450, Erentok added.
