The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan Republic carries out works on construction of water cleaning plant, Trend reports referring to Arif Iskandarov, the Head of the Department on Ecology and Environmental Protection Policy of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan.
According to him, the construction of the analogical cleaning plant with the capacity of 10,000 cubic meters per day has been completed. The new cleaning plant will be introduced very soon.
Besides, since the first quarter of 2006 the construction of water biological cleaning plant with the capacity of 205,000 cubic meters a day has been launched in Sumgayit. Their commission is expected to be at the end of the year.
The new cleaning plant will prevent untreated water burial to the Caspian Sea from the administrative district of Sumgayit, underlined the Ecological Ministry specialist.
