Azerbaijan`s State Caspian Shipping Company forecasts the volume of its freights at the rate of 14 m. tons. Seventy percent out of this volume will fall at the oil and oil products shipments, Aydin Bashirov, Chief of the Caspian Shipping Company, told, Trend reports.
According to him, over the nine months of the year, the volume of the freights carried out by the Company made up 10 million. 647.9 thousand tons. This volume exceeds the corresponding volume of the last year on 6.6%. 7 million 581.4 thousand tons of this volume were shipped by tankers, 987.9 thousand tons by dry cargo vessels, and 2 million 78.6 thousand by ferries.
The volume of passenger conveyance was 13.900 people. This figure exceeds the last year's by 9.4%.
