Date of Negotiations between Azerbaijan Transport ministry and Korean Daewoo Fixed

Representatives of Korean Daewoo are expected to visit Baku on December 15, Trend reports. Musa Panahov, Deputy Azerbaijan Transport Ministry informed journalists today that a memorandum On Mutual Understanding was signed with the Korean Company within the Azerbaijan Transport Minister, Ziya Mammadov's visit to Korea. The memorandum envisages Daewoo delivering medium-sized and big size buses to Azerbaijan.

According to him, the main aim of the forthcoming visit of the Korean guests will be to hold negotiations to put the project into force.

The first state envisages buying 200 such busses. The further volume of these deliveries will depend on demand. If all the depot of big size busses is unloaded, then 3,000 buses will be needed, he said.

All of the work will be implemented within the Decree of the Azerbaijani President On Improving Baku City Transport System for 2006-2007.

New buses will solve some problems in the transport infrastructure of Baku City, as well as improve the quality of services to the passengers.
