(IRNA) - Iranian automaker Iran Khodro is to start exporting Samand cars to Poland on January 1, the German-language online site Polska Web cited the Polish daily Rzeczpospolita as saying on Thursday.

According to the report, Iran's Samand cars have yet to meet Poland's emission standard norms before they can enter the Polish market.

Samand vehicles are already being sold in several European countries, among them Russia, Belarus, Ukraine and Bulgaria, reports Trend.

Iran Khodro is the largest carmaker in the Middle East, producing cars, trucks, buses and mini-vans.
