Azerbaijan, Baku/ Trend corr. U. Ismayilova / Eyyub Husseynov, the Chairman of the Azerbaijan Free Consumers Union, has siad that by thened of 2007, Azerbaijan's consumer's market will expirience the rise in prices by 30 percent more. This figure is on 30 percent more versus the corresponding indicator of the rise in prices registered in the market by the end of 2006.
"Such a boost in the prices is linked with the agricultural sector's employees' and farmers' incapability to reprocess about 30 percent of their land. That was directly linked with the January advance in prices on energy carriers and tariffs on public utilities," he said.
According to Mr. Husseynov, prices on the Azerbaijan consumer market had increased by 15 percent, as it was expected, prior to the National Holiday of Novruz Bayrami ("Spring Coming Holiday"). However, after the Holiday, no reduction in prices has been observed yet.
