Azerbaijan, Baku, 15 April / corr. Trend / The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) has announced the tender on sale of its own oil, branded Azeri Light, from the Turkish Port of Ceyhan. The oil is delivered to the Port via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline, according to a source at SOCAR
The volume of oil in the consignment is approximately 1mln barrels. The shipment is expected to take place between 7 and 9 May. The tender will close on 15 April.
SOCAR oil consignments from the Ceyhan Port have been purchased by the following companies in 2007:
Arcadia Petroleum Limited - February (1mln barrels);
Arcadia Petroleum Limited - April (950,000 barrels).
Azeri Light oil is extracted from the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli fields.
