Construction of New Hydroelectric Power Station Launched in Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan, Baku, 18 April / Trend / The Azerenerji joint stock company has launched the construction of a hydroelectric power station with a capacity of 50MVt in Fuzuli region of Azerbaijan. The station will be located in the irrigation canal Yuxari Mil, Azerenrji reported on 18 April.

The average annual capacity of the station will total to 180mln K.W.H. Displacement of the storage pond will make up 4mln cu.meters. The station will be constructed in 30 months.

A distributing sub-station with a capacity of 110 KW is expected to be established within the construction of Fuzuli hydroelectric power station.

Four turbines with capacity of 10 megawatt and two turbines with capacity of 5 megawatt each are expected to be installed in the station.

An electric main of 110 KW capacity and length of 2km will be constructed to transfer the produced electricity. The electric main with a capacity of 110 KW connecting Boyuk Harami and Halaj sub-stations will be reconstructed as well.
