SOCAR intends to implement a number of projects aimed at the reconstruction of enterprises belonging to the industrial association "Azerkimya", SOCAR vice president on ecology, Mukhtar Babayev said today.
Previously, "Azerkimya" was included in SOCAR upon the order of the Azerbaijani President.
Babayev said that "Azerkimya" has great economic and human capacities. Despite this, the majority of enterprises and facilities are outdated. Some of them do not work. SOCAR plans to conduct a number of large reconstruction projects in enterprises. "These programs were considered. We hope that we will begin to realize them in the nearest future," Babayev said.
He said that the experience of local firms and foreign ones will be used in realization of projects.
Babayev said that operations are being held to prepare structural changes due to Azerkimya's joining SOCAR. Perhaps, some issues will be resolved in this regard by early May.
