State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) leadership pays special attention to major repairs of the ethylene-polyethylene plant of the Production Unit "Azerkimya" using advanced technologies to restore production activities in the country's chemical industry. Aug.7, SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev got familiarized with the repair works at this enterprise. He gave his instructions to carry out operational activities to complete the reforms carried out for fruitful and harmonious work of machineries and equipment.
Abdullayev first visited the site of collection quickly flaming liquids near the Baku-Guba higway, got acquainted with the repair works on the site and in the railway depot. Abdullaev approved activities at the site of quickly flaming liquids speaking about the importance of using more radical measures to ensure the technical safety and eliminate leak of raw materials, as well as for more effective control over all processes, including increasing the rate and quality of repair works. Then Abdullayev visited the production sites of the ethylene-polyethylene plant and got acquainted with the large-scale repair works at the plant. SOCAR head, who visited the shop of the pyrolysis complex "EP-300 ", was informed that most of the repair works related with the pyrolysis furnaces, three of which have been completely repaired. He was given extensive information about the works done in the shop. Currently, works are underway to fill them with new reagents.
It was said that an initial agreement with the petrochemical company "Petkim" was reached under the administration of a JV SOCAR-TURCAS in Turkey for the highest quality repair and adjustment of heat controls of the Czech and Germanic production. Works will be started in this direction in the near future. Abdullaev welcomed the initiative. According to him, closer cooperation between Azerkimya and Petkim is important in the future.
He said that intensifying the processes of cooperation and integration between SOCAR's enterprises is the most important task in terms of development of Azerbaijan's chemical industry. Abdullayev expressed confidence that cooperation between Azerkimya and Petkim will allow holding more high-quality repair works at the ethylene-polyethylene plant.
After getting acquainted with the production process Abdullayev was interested in working conditions, issues of safety. He familiarized himself with construction works at the station of medical aid, which is created on the basis of Clinic "Chemists", as well as with models and sketches of stations, which are under construction. Abdullayev said that the provision of this medical center with all kinds of modern diagnostic and therapeutic equipment and involving highly qualified doctors is very important.
Then Abdullayev visited the Azerkimya's main office and held an extensive meeting with the leadership of Unit with the participation of key specialists. He spoke about the complex measures for the early increase of the size of the export of petrochemical products from Azerbaijan and the modernization of chemical industry. Abdullaev put specific tasks before the leadership of the PU.
