On Sept. 24, President of SOCAR (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan) Rovnag Abdullayev received the Heads of Statoil Azerbaijan, SOCAR reported on Friday.
President of Statoil Azerbaijan Kristian Hausken thanked for reception and said that his term is coming to an end. Hausken, who has headed Statoil Azerbaijan since 2007, noted that during this period, he sought to develop strong partnerships with SOCAR.
He expressed gratitude to Rovnag Abdullayev for comprehensive support from the leadership of SOCAR. Speaking about the achievements of the Azerbaijani economy, including oil and gas industry, Hausken expressed satisfaction with the work done.
Abdullayev praised the fruitful cooperation with Statoil in the implementation of Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli block and Shah Deniz gas field development projects.

Speaking of strong partnerships between companies Statoil and SOCAR, the new head of the company Lars Sorensen expressed his readiness to actively develop these relations.
