About 25,143 new electric meters were installed in the first half of this year by JSC Bakielektrikshebeke (distribution and sale of electricity in Baku), a statement said.
According to the report, the company laid 980 kilometers of trunk lines and 690 kilometers of subscriber's lines during this period. About 26,778 bearing were installed in the first half of the year.
The work at 324 transformer points was completed in the first half of the year.
The network capacity increased by 3 percent and amounted to 4,280 megawatts compared to the same period of last year. This figure will hit 4,560 megawatts by late 2010.
