Iran plans to launch South Pars gas field phase 12

Gas processing from South Pars gas field phase 12 would start up to the end of current Iranian calendar year (ending on March 20, 2012), Shana reported quoting the managing director of the Pars Oil and Gas Company, Mousa Souri as saying.

According to Souri offshore and onshore operations of the phase 12 have moved forward by more than 71and 27 percent respectively.

Development of phase 12 has generally progressed by 49 percent, Souri added.

Souri said that laying the 149 kilometers length "Pipeline A" and 140 kilometers length "pipeline B" had been completed amid appropriate speed of laying "pipeline C" that is moving forward by laying two kilometers of pipeline each day.

Referring to the completion of 75 kilometers of the150 kilometers length Third Gas Pipeline of the phase 12, he said that in case of good weather condition in the Persian Gulf, there is the possibility to complete the pipeline up to next April.

It's worth mentioning that, the south pars gas field phase 12 development is the biggest ongoing project of the Petropars Company. The production capacity of the project is equal to three conventional South Pars phases.

South Pars phase 12 developments aims to produce 75 million cubic meters of gas per day for injection to sixth Trans-Iranian gas pipeline or delivering it to LNG plants, production of 120 thousand barrels of gas condensates and 750 tons of sulfur.
