The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) has today opened a new plant for cleaning-up and recultivation of oil-polluted lands in Baku.
SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev also attended the opening ceremony.
The plant has been built by a joint venture SOCAR-Baghlan.
The new enterprise's processing capacity is 540 cubic meters per day.
JV "SOCAR-Baghlan" was established in 2009 by SOCAR (51 percent) and Baghlan Oil Recovery (United Arab Emirates - 49 percent).
