The largest liquefied natural gas (LNG) production plan in Iran will come on stream in a few days to produce over 200 tons of LNG and 80 tons of condensates per day, an official with the National Iranian Gas Company said.

The plan, which will be inaugurated at the Fajr-e Jam refinery in Assalouyeh, will have a positive effect on reducing environment pollutions, Mehdi Jamshidi-Dana added.

The deputy Iranian oil minister announced in October that the country's largest liquefied petroleum production (LPG) plan was inaugurated in the Fajr-e Jam refinery.

Javad Oji told the Pana news agency that the project would add up to 1.5 million tons to Iran's LPG production capacity. He added that the plan is the trial production stage and it will be officially come on stream by the end of November.

The plan would boost the domestic LPG output by 1.5 million tons, he said, adding that over 20 million dollars has been invested in the project.
