KazTransOil ups oil transportation by 4 per cent

The volume of oil transportation through KazTransOil's main oil pipelines in January-October hit 45.08 million tons compared to 43.44 million tons in January-October last year, the company's official website reports today.

The figure was 52.5 million tons in 2010 compared to about 50.9 million tons in 2009.

The cargo turnover through the main oil pipelines was 28.88 billion tons per km in Jan.-Oct.

The volumes of oil transportation via the main pipelines to refineries also increased compared to last year. The volume of oil transportation to the oil refinery amounted to about 10.9 million tons in January-October.

The volume of transshipment of oil through the Atasu-Alashankou totaled about 9.35 million tons in January-October compared to 8.4 million tons in January-October 2010.

In January-October, transit of Russian oil via the section of "TON-2", located on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan, hit 4.72 million tons, which is 3 percent more compared to the same period of 2010.
