Turkmenistan auctions 590,000 tons of oil products

Turkmenistan auctioned about 590,000 tons of finished products manufactured by the two oil refineries in the cities of Turkmenbashi and Sadie and the gas processing complex in the Naip area at the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange. The Exchange serves as the principal organ of state regulation of export-import operations.

Turkmenistan auctioned about 590,000 tons of finished products manufactured by the two oil refineries in the cities of Turkmenbashi and Sadie and the gas processing complex in the Naip area at the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange. The Exchange serves as the principal organ of state regulation of export-import operations.

Some 60,000 tons of gasoline, 220,000 tons of petrol, 10.000 tons of diesel fuel, 20,000 tons of heating oil, light gas oil 20,000 tons, 180,000 tons of fuel oil, about 40,000 tons of kerosene and 40,000 tons of liquefied gas with shipment to different destinations were auctioned.

Companies from Russia, Romania, Turkey, Afghanistan, the Virgin Islands and Iran bought gasoline, liquefied gas and polypropylene and low-sulphur fuel oil. The total amount of contracts on the exchange including petroleum products exceeded $105 million.

Representatives of Azerbaijan, China, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Denmark, Kazakhstan and other countries are traditionally bidders.
