Geophysics and Geology Department of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) is conducting integrated geophysical studies in the Eldaroyugu-Boyuk Palanteken area of oil and area between the rivers Kur-Gabyrry, SOCAR said on Tuesday.
According to the statement, the work envisages conducting work using seismic and gravimagnetometric method.
Some 60 percent of the total volume of planned activities have been completed. Fully field work will be completed in early October this year. Upon completion of works the processing and interpretation of the data will be carried out.
SOCAR includes the Azneft production association (the companies producing oil and gas on and offshore), the Azerkimya industrial association (chemical enterprises) and Azerigaz industrial association (gas distribution).
