SOCAR (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan) exported about 1.16 million tons of oil via the northern pipeline Baku-Novorossiysk in January-August 2013 compared to 1.27 million tons in January-August of last year, according to a statement released by SOCAR.
SOCAR exported nearly 170,000 tons of oil via the northern pipeline Baku-Novorossiysk in August 2013, compared to 130,000 tons in August 2012.
In 2012, SOCAR exported 2.06 million tons of oil via the northern pipeline Baku-Novorossiysk compared to 1.99 million tons in 2011.
SOCAR carries transshipment of oil from its own fields through Novorossiysk as well as transfers oil of joint ventures and companies operating onshore in Azerbaijan.
AIOC was operating the Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline until 2007, later transferring its functions to SOCAR.
