In January-September the Azerigas production association (PA) of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) sold over 1.46 billion cubic meters of gas to the consumers from the group of population, SOCAR said on Thursday.
According to SOCAR, the amount of funds, received by the Azerigas, for the gas purchased by the consumers, amounted to 103.96 per cent.
"In nine months accounts receivable, available on October 1, 2013, decreased by 12.4 per cent," SOCAR said.
In October 1, 2013, the number of gas users in Azerbaijan amounted to 1,580,474 versus 1,569,860 in September 1.
Some 1,561,399 subscribers account for the category of population, and 19,075 subscribers account for other categories.
SOCAR includes Azerneft (the enterprises engaged in production of oil and gas on land and sea), Azerikimya (chemical industry enterprises) and Azerigas (distribution and sale of gas in Azerbaijan) production associations. Aside from this, SOCAR also has a number of processing and service enterprises, and institutions engaged in geophysical and drilling activities.
