Oil production in Kazakhstan up by over 6%

Oil production in Kazakhstan in January-November 2018 amounted to 70.63 million tons, which is 6.3 percent more than in the same period of 2017, Trend reports with reference to the Kazakh media.

According to the Statistics Committee of Kazakh National Economy Ministry, in the reporting period, gas condensate was produced in the amount of 11.75 million tons (2.9 percent down year-on-year), natural gas - 50.48 billion cubic meters (4.9 percent up), and coal - in the amount of 106.23 million tons (4.8 percent up).

Meanwhile, gasoline production in Kazakhstan in January-November 2018 amounted to 3.6 million tons, which is 28.9 percent more than in the same period of 2017.

In the 11 months of this year, 343,400 tons of kerosene (23.1 percent up), 2.28 million tons of liquefied propane and butane (7.8 percent up), 4.33 million tons of gas oil (8.3 percent up), and 2.66 million tons of fuel oil (12.3 percent down) were produced.

At the same time, iron ore was mined in the amount of 38.72 million tons (8.9 percent up), copper ore - 94.71 million tons (7.4 percent up), gold ore - 19.2 million tons (4.2 percent up), and chrome concentrate - in the amount of 4.54 million tons (7.9 percent up).

Some 1.9 million tons of ferroalloy (8.1 percent up), 2.48 million tons of flat-rolled products (5.5 percent down), 137,900 tons of refined lead (0.8 percent up), 300,500 tons of zinc (0.8 percent down), and 401,000 tons of refined copper (3.8 percent up) were produced in Kazakhstan in January-November 2018.
