Turkey reveals number & type of vessels passed through Dardanelles

In the first quarter of 2019, a total of 10,541 vessels passed through the Dardanelles Strait (Canakkale), 3,621 of which are cargo ships, Trend reports with reference to the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Turkey.

As many as 1,242 cargo ships passed through the Dardanelles n January 2019, 1,115 cargo ships in February and 1,264 cargo ships in March, according to the ministry.

“In the first quarter of 2019, 41 warships passed through the Dardanelles,” the ministry said.
