By Huseyn Hasanov– Trend:

Singapore’s GP Global Equipment Pte Ltd envisages further development of cooperation with Turkmen state concerns Turkmengaz (Turkmen gas) and Turkmennebit (Turkmen oil), Trend reports with reference to both state concerns.

The company has already received a contract in Turkmenistan and will build a gas compressor station, which shall reveal the great potential of the complex of gas condensate fields in Central Karakum desert and will foster increasing the throughput of gas pipelines in the Dashoguz region of the country, the report said.

The deal envisages installation of equipment, engineering, construction, installation and commissioning work, as well as training of specialists of Turkmengaz.

The facility’s capacity will be two billion cubic meters of gas per year at the Zakli-Derweze gas treatment facility in Central Karakum. Construction will start in September and end in February 2022.

As part of the project, it is planned to study gas fields located about 250 kilometers from Ashgabat.

In the territory, where construction work will be carried out, the air temperature in winter reaches -30 C, and in the summer +47 C. The depth of the upper sand layer of porous dunes here is approximately 10 meters. Despite the difficult climatic conditions, the company’s employees are fully prepared for construction work.

The Turkmennebitgazgurlushyk state concern started development of the Zakli-Derweze group of gas condensate fields in Central Karakum in 2016.

Since that time, the construction of access roads and railways to the facility has been carried out. The infrastructure of the facility comprises a railway discharge and loading ramp, a discharge and loading pump station, a condensate flow metering unit and a condensate storage tank farm.

Turkmenistan supplies natural gas to China and Russia.
