Turkey reveals volume of crude oil imports from Turkmenistan

Turkey has imported 5,000 tons of crude oil and 7,236 tons of diesel fuel from Turkmenistan in August 2019, Trend reports citing Turkey’s Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK).

The total volume of petroleum imports to Turkey from this country stood at 12,236 tons during the reporting period.

Among other Central Asian countries, Turkey imported more than 455,193 tons of crude oil from Kazakhstan, which accounted for 10.81 percent of its imports of petroleum products.

The country exported 178.6 tons of jet fuel to Turkmenistan during the reporting period, which accounted for 0.01 percent of its exports.

Moreover, Turkey exported 1,924 tons of jet fuel to Uzbekistan and 808.9 tons to Kazakhstan in August 2019.

In general, Turkey’s crude oil imports have increased by 46.14 percent in August 2019, as compared to the same period last year and exceeded 3.04 million tons.

This is while the country’s diesel fuel imports went down by 27.37 percent and stood at more than 937,680 tons.
