Iran's separation of oil revenues from the state budget will have no impact on the electric power industry, Iranian Energy Minister Reza Ardakanian said at the opening ceremony of the 19th Iran International Electricity Exhibition, Trend reports referring to the information portal of Iran's Energy Ministry.

A document is being prepared in the Iranian parliament that suggests oil revenues would be excluded from the state budget.

Ardakanian added that most of the 230 trillion rials (about $5.4 billion) in the industry's financial turnover account for the export of local resources, equipment and services to regional markets.

Currently, Iranian companies are actively involved in regional markets and an important process for the development and reconstruction of Iraq's electric power industry is underway, Ardakanian said.

Referring to Iran's program for exporting electricity to Syria via Iraq, the minister said that steps should be taken to build 400-kilowatt power line.

The 19th Iran International Electricity Exhibition with the participation of 36 companies from 13 countries and over 460 Iranian companies started on Oct. 31 in Tehran and will last until Nov. 3.
