Uzbekistan increases gasoline production

Gasoline production in Uzbekistan increased by 30.8 percent in January 2020 compared to the same period in 2019, Trend reports with the reference to Committee of Statistics of Uzbekistan.

Meanwhile, oil production fell by 68.3 percent from 60,600 tons in January 2019 to 19,200 tons in January this year. Natural gas production has also decreased by 10 percent.

In January 2020, the country produced 93,600 tons of motor gasoline (a 30.8-percent increase over the same period in 2019), 100,000 tons of diesel fuel (a 22.5-percent growth).

Compared to the same period in 2019, there has been an increase in the production of coal by 63.1 per cent, crushed stone by 19 percent and gas condensate by 1.2 percent.

According to the State Statistics Committee, in 2019, production of coal decreased in Uzbekistan by three percent, oil - by 6.3 percent, and natural gas by 1.6 percent in Uzbekistan, compared to 2018. Oil production fell from 745,700 tons to 698,600 tons.

The country's gas condensate production fell by 2.2 percent to 2.098 million tons in 2019, compared to 2018.

In addition, the production of gasoline in Uzbekistan at the end of last year amounted to 1.025 million tons (- 10.6 percent compared to 2018), diesel fuel - 1.031 million tons (- 4.6 percent).

Capacities of Uzbekneftegaz JSC (a state-owned oil and gas company) allow currently ensuring production of natural gas in the amount of about 70 billion cubic meters and liquid hydrocarbons in the amount of 8 million tons per year.

However, according to the statistics, the production of hydrocarbons in the country has fallen significantly in the last 15 years.
