Uzbekistan's Uzneftegazkuduktaylemirlash company carried out well workover operations on well number 102 of the Mubarek oil and gas production department at Sharki-Berdak field in Ustyurt Gas Production Department of Uzbekneftegaz JSC, Trend reports citing Uzbekneftegaz press service.
Well workover operations were carried out in March 2020.
As a result of perforation work from 2,205 to 2,212 meters, commercial gas inflow with daily flow rate of 50,000 cubic meters and a ton of gas condensate was received. has been suspended at the South Kemachi field due to 100 percent water cut. In 2020, 13.5 million cubic meters of natural gas and 270 tons of gas condensate are expected to be produced from the well.
The South Kemachi oil and gas condensate field is located in the Karaulbazar District of the Bukhara region and has been under development since 1978. Currently, oil, gas and condensate are produced in the field from 94 wells.
Earlier, it was reported about completion of drilling work on several wells of "Sharqi-Berdak" in Ustyurt Gas Production Department of "Uzbekneftegaz" JSC. As a result of perforation work carried out, commercial inflow with daily flow rate of 100,000 cubic meters of gas and 0.6 tons of gas condensate was received.
The national holding company Uzbekneftegaz is a state-owned holding company and the largest state company in Uzbekistan. The company ranks 11th in the world's natural gas production.
At the beginning of 2020, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting at which the head of state instructed Uzbekneftegaz to thoroughly analyze each field it is operating and ensure the increase in gas production.
