More than 1 million users of Bursagas, which is a subsidiary of SOCAR Turkey have consumed 652,675,793 standard cubic meters of gas in the first six months of 2020, said Gunter Seymus, head of SOCAR Turkey Natural Gas Business Unit, Trend reports citing Turkish media.
Seymus noted that during the same period, more than 550,000 users of Kayserigas consumed 368,469,846 standard cubic meters of gas.
“Bursagas plans to sell a total of 991 million standard cubic meters of gas as of 2020 and increase its consumers to 1,070,000. Kayserigas plans to sell 751 million standard cubic meters and increase the number of its consumers to 566,000,” he added.
SOCAR Turkey completed the acquisition of Bursagas, Kayserigas, Enervis, EWE Energy and Millenicom from German Ewe AG in June 2019.
Earlier, EWE AG told Trend that the decision on the possible sale of its assets in Turkey is related to the optimization of the company's activity.
EWE Turkey Holding has been operating in Turkey since 2007 and is the fourth biggest supplier of natural gas in Turkey.
