Kazakhstan decreases crude oil exports to Romania

Kazakhstan has exported 1.6 billion tons of crude oil worth $725.8 million to Romania in 1Q2020, a source at Kazakhstan’s oil and gas market told Trend.

The exported volume was 8.5 percent less than during 1Q2019 (1.8 billion tons), whereas the value was 13.7 percent less than in 1Q2019 ($841.2 million).

During the reporting period, Kazakhstan has also exported 4,450 tons of petroleum products to Romania, for a total of $1.7 million.

No petroleum products were exported from Kazakhstan to Romania in 1Q2019.

Kazakhstan’s overall export of crude oil stood at 33.3 million tons worth $15.08 billion in 1H2020 which is compared to 34.6 million tons worth $16.4 billion in 1H2019.

Kazakhstan’s overall export of petroleum products stood at 364,459 tons of products worth $1.04 million in 1H2020 which is compared to 574,297 tons worth $1.6 million in 1H2019.

The value of trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Romania amounted to $779.4 million over 1H2020, compared to $885.4 million during the same period of 2019.

Kazakhstan’s export to Romania amounted to $738.7 million over the period from January through June 2020, compared to $848.5 million during the same period of 2019.

In turn, Kazakhstan’s imports from Romania stood at about $40.6 million over the reporting period, compared to $36.8 million during the same period of 2019.
