Some 961.8 million cubic meters of gas were received and supplied to consumers at gas compressor stations that are part of the Balkanabad gas receiving and supplying department of Turkmenistan's Turkmennebit State Concern, from January through March 2021, Trend reports with reference to Nebit-Gaz electronic newspaper.
The specialists of the Balkanabad gas receiving and supplying department ensure the uninterrupted operation of gas compressor stations on the Caspian coast, guided by the state "Program for the Development of the Oil and Gas Industry of Turkmenistan until 2030».
Earlier, Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) Global Gas Outlook 2050 showed that Natural gas production in Turkmenistan will increase by 78 percent and reach the level of more than 141 billion cubic meters by 2050, at an annual growth rate of 1.9 percent.
As a holder of the fourth-largest volume of gas reserves worldwide, Turkmenistan has been unlocking the potential of natural gas, leading to an 11.5 percent average economic growth rate between 2000 and 2019, continuously expanding domestic gas production, attracting investors, and enhancing knowledge and technologies exchange, the report said.
