BAKU, Azerbaijan, Apr.23

By Leman Zeynalova – Trend:

Through a range of scientific, operational and awareness activities, TAP’s marine litter program aims to reduce marine litter on an approximately 30 km stretch of the Adriatic coast (municipalities of Vernole, Lecce and Melendugno), Trend reports citing TAP AG.

The project is developed with CoNISMa (the National Interuniversity Consortium for Marine Sciences) via its Research Unit in the Lecce area (part of the University of Salento). The preliminary study phase, which TAP supported with a € 50.000 investment, was conducted between February and July 2017. The multi-year program, with an envisaged investment amounting to more than €800.000, is currently under development.

Between January 1 and March 31, the Trans Adriatic Pipeline has delivered a total of 1.16 billion cubic meters of gas in its target markets.

After gas deliveries to Europe started on December 31, 2020, TAP announced on March 19 that it had reached the first billion cubic meters of Azerbaijani gas delivered to Europe through the Greek Kipoi interconnection, where TAP connects with TANAP. At March 31, 2021, TAP reached the Financial Completion Date. The financing banks of the project proceeded to release the pre-condition guarantees provided by the shareholders during the project’s construction phase,
