Batumi terminal increases oil delivery
In January to October 2005 a total of 7.73 million tons of oil cargo was delivered via
the Batumi oil terminal, located in the Black sea, which was 998,000 tons up as compared to 2004, a source at the oil delivery market told Trend.
In October 871,000 tons of oil cargo was delivered via Batumi, which exceeded the 2004 previous yearвЂ™s figure by 170,000 tons, the same source said.
The Batumi Oil terminal is capable to handle up to 15 million tons of oil cargo a year. The terminal services the tankers of 30,000-90,000 tons deadweight on four berths, including the mobile buoy for the vessels of Aframax class. The capacity of the terminalвЂ™s tank stock is approximately 530,000 tons, which is Рјore than sufficient for handling the current and forecasted cargoes, passing through the corridor
